IDL scientific Structure
IDLโs internal organization comprises 4 working research groups (RGs) that reflect the wide span areas of expertise and disciplinary scientific background of its researchers in the general domains of Atmosphere, Ocean, Solid Earth and Energy.
The strategic organization of IDLโs research is expressed by the so-called IDL thematic lines, which are established given the IDL research priorities for a certain period (cycle). Thus, researchers from different research groups actively collaborate with each other, integrating different perspectives, know-how and methodologies, and contributing with their work to a given research line, i.e., within a common research strategy and rationale. IDL currently counts with 3 Thematic Lines
Research GroupS Coordination
RG1 โ Climate variability processes and extremes
RG2 โ Ocean, coastal and land surface processes
RG4 โ Renewable energy & sustainability
