IDL at the Museum für Naturkunde
In early January 2020, Elisabete Malafaia of the Instituto Dom Luiz (IDL) was at the Museum für Naturkunde Berlin (Germany) to study the paleontological collections of theropod dinosaurs housed in this museum, especially materials from the Tendaguru Formation (Tanzania). This study was carried out as part of a project supported by the Synthesis of Systematic Resources - Synthesys + program and aims to compare the composition of the Late Jurassic theropod faunas of Africa and the Iberian Peninsula to test the existence of events of dispersion of these dinosaurs between regions of the southern (Gondwana) and northern (Laurásia) hemispheres during the late Jurassic.
