Graduated in Geology at Faculdade de CiΓͺncias da Universidade de Lisboa in 2014, followed by a Masterβs degree in Geology from Uppsala University in 2016, and finally a PhD in Internal Geodynamics from the University of Lisbon in 2022.
I specialize in numerical modelling of geodynamic settings. I have studied a variety of different geological processes, which range from a wide variety of complex subduction zone processes, to ridge-passive margin interactions, to presently working on ridge-plume-transform fault interactions in the Atlantic Ocean archipelagos (such as the Azores).

Main Interests:
My research focuses on the use of numerical geodynamic modelling techniques to explore complex tectonic settings. Some of my previous works include subduction zone dynamics and initiation, as well as the dynamics of ridge-passive margin interactions. At present, I am working on modelling plume-ridge-transform interactions at the Azores Triple Junction.
