Researchers of the IDL in the VI Encontro Internacional da Casa das Ciências

The VI Encontro Internacional da Casa das Ciências took place between 10 and 12 July 2019 in the campus of the University of Lisbon and joined about 1000 teachers from elementary and secondary schools. This is the largest accredited formation event in the area of science teaching held in Portugal and had more than 120 workshops in the areas of Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry, Biology & Geology and Introduction to Science. The edition of 2019 had as theme "Teaching of Science and Modern Society".

Researchers of the Instituto Dom Luis (IDL) dynamized several workshops, including:

Filipa Luz and Nuno Pimentel – “Os mapas do tesouro, a exploração de recursos geológicos”

Graça Silveira and Mário Moreira – “À boleia das Ondas – Utilização do som e da luz para saber mais sobre materiais”

Isabel Fernandes – “A exploração de pedreiras: decretos lei e formas de escavação”

João Catalão – “Deteção Remota-Aquisição, tratamento e análise de imagens de satélite multiespectrais”

Luís Matias – “O magnetismo terrestre” and “Sismologia na Escola: como usar dados sísmicos na sala de aula”

Màrio Cachão – “Areias: Geologia em Peças Separadas”

Nuno Pimentel – “A Geologia de Portugal e do mundo…à distância de um click!”
