Gil Lemos awarded at Jornadas do Mar

Gil Lemos, IDL's Earthsystems PhD student received the Prize for the Best Communication in Geography, Oceanography, Environment and Natural Science at Jornadas do Mar for his work “A bias corrected CMIP5 single-forcing, single-model and single-scenario ensemble of wave climate projections towards the end of the 21st century”.The award cerimony was held at the Portuguese Naval School in Alfeite (Lisbon), on the 9th of November. The work was performed in collaboration with the IH - Cantabria, the IHE - Delft, the CEN - Hamburg University and the HZG - Geesthacht, and presents two new methodologies for calibrating present and projected future wave climate simulations.
